We went Trick or Treating with Aurora (the flower) and some friends in her neighborhood. We had a grocery sack full of candy by the time we came home. Maggie got so tired, she just sat down in someone's yard and said she was done. I laughed and said we needed to walk back to Aurora's still.

Carving Jack O' Lanterns
Maggie was all about the process: "I can cut it myself, Mom!" Hers ended up with a cut out looking like a witch! Mena was all about the result. She drew the picture and I cut it out for her.

Church Halloween Spooktacular
I sewed both of the girls' costumes and they were so excited to go to our church Halloween Spooktacular. We ate hot dogs and chips before playing any of the games. We'd been to maybe 2 games when Maggie said she didn't feel good. She said she wanted to go home. I asked if we could stay until Mena had played each game once and she agreed. We hadn't been at church for 30 minutes when Maggie threw up and we had to go home. Poor kids were both disappointed.

Fall Break - Branched Lake
We had a very relaxing weekend camping with Papa and Grandma Frye. Thursday night, it was just us; then Papa and Grandma came on Friday. Lots of playground time, bike rides, and scooter rides. The cutest part was when the girls found a ladybug wing and then we went on a hut to find the ladybug to return its wing. We returned to the camper disappointed that we never found the ladybug that was missing a wing.

Girl Scouts 101
We joined a few other Girl Scouts at an event focusing on the Girl Scout Promise and Law. They made a "sit-upon," a popsicle stick plaque of the GS Law, s'more pins & flashlight pins. Four hours of lots of fun!
