Children's Sabbath

On Children's Sabbath, Mena read the Bible scripture and Maggie received her Third Grade Bible.  The microphone wasn't working when Mena started reading so she had to stop and start over.  She looked as calm as can be even after the interruption!  Maggie is with Pastor Jane and Cathy Link, Children's Ministry Director.

Roca Pumpkin Patch

The girls received coupons to go to Roca Berry Farm for free during September.  We went the last Saturday of the month.  It was chilly in the morning but warmed up as we were there.  We played games and ate a snack.  My rule for the pumpkins was that they needed to be able to carry their own pumpkin to the car.  When we got back to Lincoln, we used their other coupon for free meals at PieZano's.

Kahoa Walk-a-Thon

A friend was able to get pictures of Maggie during the Walk-a-Thon.

Mena's Bean Bag Chair

Mena used her birthday money to buy a bean bag for her bedroom.  This particular color took us 4 Walmarts to find and we had to go back to one of the stores a second time.  Maggie was quite the trooper during our afternoon of shopping.

Mena's Birthday Party

Mena had a slumber party on the Friday after her birthday.  Adisynne and Pearl came to celebrate.  They had a lot of fun and got a little bit of sleep :)

Happy Birthday, Mena!

Mena received her loft bed early for her birthday.  The morning of her birthday we gave her a present with Reese's Peanutbutter Cups and magnets for her school locker.  

Mena's Glasses

Mena has tinted glasses to help with her ocular migraines.  We've been able to figure out that florescent lights are a trigger.  These tinted glasses reduce the number of migraines she has each day at school.
