Eating Solids

We're trying solid foods again. Cereals backed Mena up terribly so we've totally cut those out. She's eating peas, green beans, peaches, and prunes. Her favorite is peas. She loved the sweet potatoes but the sweet potatoes didn't love her. Prunes came in handy as we discovered which foods (those high in starch) constipate her. We're having fun introducing her to new foods and she's discovering that she likes eating solid foods.

Shopping Trip to Gretna

March 28th we drove up to Gretna to go shopping with Aunt Beth, Peyton, and Grandma. Here's Mena and Peyton at the McDonald's after Peyton had finished his Happy Meal and then Mena smiling at Grandma.

6 Months Old!

Mena is now 6 months old. She weighs 16 pounds and 9 ounces (50-75%). She's 27 inches long (90%). Her head is 17 1/4 inches around (75-90%). So she's growing very well!

She got too long for the carrier car seat so we've moved her up to the next size car seat. We've also begun introducing foods. The first veggie I gave her was peas! She seems to like them more than her mother :)

She's learned to throw the rattle so we attached it to the binky string!

She loves jumping in her baby einstein activity center!

Happy Birthday, Peyton, Kayla, and Beth!

We went to Omaha to celebrate everyone's birthdays on March 1st. Mena wasn't much in the mood to be held but she seemed to enjoy everyone playing on the floor with her. She was looking pretty cute in her clothes from Cabela's thanks to Grandpa Frye!
