Telling stories with puppets on the flannel board or on sticks makes group time more fun!

Reading Books
Reading books is still a favorite activity for Mena. Maggie likes to be near where ever the big kids are so she's sitting with one of Mena's pillows behind her in case she tips over.
Art
This month Mena enjoyed painting with ice paints, painting with our new jumbo marker painters, making a hairy spider by gluing tea leaves to the paper, and putting star stickers on her letter M.

Splashing
I took this video of Maggie splashing in the kitchen sink during bath time. I think she splashes more because of my laughing; each bath time seems to involve more splashing. I had to clean up water that got all over the counters and floor. She does tip over at the end of the video and I shut off the camera to catch her. She doesn't hurt her head or anything. She's actually doing really well at sitting up on her own for long periods of time!

New Friend
I got my daycare permit and was able to take on another client. Our new friend is Kylinn. Her mom and I used to work together at St. Mark's Preschool and KIDZONE. Mena and Ky actually knew each other before, but the last time they saw each other was when Ky was 6 months and Mena was 1 year. Mena, Traven, and Ky all seem to enjoy playing together so I think this is going to go well for all of us!
Cart Ride
I moved Maggie to a rear facing car seat so we no longer have a carrier car seat when we go shopping. Maggie did great sitting up in the cart. She had a very serious look on her face the whole time we were in Target.
