Joslyn Art Museum

The Friday of our last vacation week, we went to Joslyn Art Museum.  The girls enjoyed looking at a display explaining how art work was created for children's books.  They spent an hour in the Art Works room where they got to create all types of art.  We then walked through the outdoor art display before going home.

State Capitol

After spending so much money at Build a Bear, I told the girls they needed to choose a free activity for the second day of our last week at home.  They chose to visit the state capitol.  Both girls were interested in learning about who the various busts were of and the stories about the person.  And of course, we went to the top and found our car down on the street.

Mena's Robot

Mena made this over the summer.  Maybe at summer camp or VBS.  I can't remember for sure.  Anyway, I really like all her spelling :)

Build a Bear

Our last week of vacation before I go back to work, we went to Build a Bear.  The girls each got an animal and one outfit.

Pediatrician Check-ups

Rather than doing checkups on their girls' birthdays, I've switched to doing both of theirs at the same time during the summer when I'm off work.  Both girls checked out healthy for the year.

Maggie is 4'1" (81% on the charts), 54.4 pounds (76%), and her BMI is 16 (64%). 

Mena is 4'6" (78%), 80.4 pounds (87%), and her BMI is 19.4 (87%).

Fun Times

Maggie and I lay chatting in bed.  Mena was laughing so hard I reminded her to breathe.

La Paz

Gene and I finished our custody case, so I celebrated with the girls by eating lunch at La Paz.  I am no longer the primary caregiver.  We have joint custody with a 7 & 7 schedule.  They switch houses on Mondays.
