LPS Marching Invitational

At the LPS Marching Invitational, LHS Marching Band received a 1 Superior.  They've been fun to watch as they worked on the show all season.  They have a great show and Philomena is enjoying being in the pit playing auxiliary percussion.  Grandma, Briget, and I went to watch together.  It's a dad weekend so Briget and I went to supper without any kids afterwards.

 

LHS Choir Concert

LHS has a true theater that concerts are given in!  After hearing middle school students earlier this week, it was impressive to hear how much the kids' voices mature and their skill improves in just a few short years.  Philomena had a solo and sounded awesome!

 

Mickle Choir Concert

Mickle MS is holding their concerts at 6 pm instead of 7 pm and we were able to leave right after her portion so it wasn't a late night.  She really enjoys singing and it shows in her face.  When she realized that I was taking pictures, then she started making faces at me.  Mr. Stump is picking pop songs the kids are familiar with and you can see how much fun the kids are having with contemporary music!

 

LHS Marching Contest

I took a video of the performance and only got these 2 pictures.  The kids performed the full show with props at the LHS Marching Contest.  Beatrice High School also competed so we got to see Carrie and Riley.  It was a fun day with band and friends.

 

Homecoming Dance

Pastor Kirstie hosted us for Philomena to get ready for her homecoming dance.  She wanted both her stepmom and me to help her.  Jess did her makeup.  I braided her hair.  Kirstie curled her hair.  I helped her dress.  She was amazed when she saw herself in the mirror when we were done.  She was stunning!

 

Homecoming FB Game

The homecoming game was lost by the football team but the marching band was great!

 

Cast Removed

Maggie's fractured finger healed and the cast was removed.  She buddy taped it for awhile to help get it moving through the full range of motion.  So glad that it healed well.
