All My Gifts

Maggie was excited to sit in front of the tree with all her new toys, but Mena refused to move off the couch :-)

Some how Santa rolled up a beach towel small enough to fit in the girls' stockings!  Mommy had to help take the rubberbands off so we could open them up to see the pattern.  Mena was very excited to find a goldfish snack cup full of goldfish.  Maggie went for the chocolate!

Gifts from St. Mark's Singles

Mena and Maggie opened their coloring books and Elmo toys so fast that these were the two best pictures I could get!

Gifts from Head Start

I received these dolls from Head Start.  Since Mena doesn't know much about us participating in Head Start, I just told her they were from me.  They've been a great asset in the transitions we've made over the last year.

Gene and I had agreed that the girls would come to me at 10 am on Christmas morning.  At 8 am I received a text from Gene saying, "Mena has decided that Christmas at Dad's is over.  Now that she has unwrapped her presents."  I asked him to give me time to take my shower before he brought the girls.  When I was dressed, I texted that he could bring them over.  His reply said, "Just FYI, they are all "PRESENTS AND DONUTS AND GRANDMA AND OMG" this morning.  As soon as we'd unwrapped gifts here, Mena was ready to go to Grandma's.  She was disappointed that I wasn't able to pack our bag any faster!

Christmas Fun

The night we watched "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," we made Grinch Cookies first.  Yummy mint chocolate chip cookies!

Another night we made handprint Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer pictures.  The girls then did cookie cutter painting.  Mena wanted to keep doing projects, but we only have so much time to do projects.
