All City Band Concert

Philomena was in the All City Band.  It was her dad's week so he drove her to practice and the performance.  This was down on city campus and it was super cold.  When Mrs. Pfoltner emailed saying it would be live streamed, I asked Philomena if she wanted me at the concert or if Grandma and I could watch from home.  She was fine with us watching from home, so I took pictures of my tv!  Not the best pictures but they sounded amazing!

Tired

This week was absolutely crazy.  Monday was Philomena's band concert.  Tuesday was Philomena's jazz band concert.  Wednesday, Philomena had a doctor appointment.  I dropped her off at CCH and took Maggie to Walmart to buy a birthday gift for a friend.  We drove back to CCH and I shut off the car to wait for Philomena to come out.  To our surprise, the car wouldn't start.  A tow truck took my car to Kelly's Auto Repair and Grandma picked us up.  Luckily, it just needed a new battery and Kelly had it ready for me the next afternoon.  Thursday was Maggie's orchestra concert.  Friday was covid booster shots and Philomena's drama performance.  Saturday, the girls weren't feeling the best from the shots and spent most of the day laying around.  I chose for us not to go to church nor Maggie to the birthday party.  I knew I made the right decision when Maggie put herself to bed.  She sleeps with so many pillows that sometimes I can't even see her!  Philomena was feeling better by bedtime and Maggie felt better when she woke up on Sunday so we made it to church like normal.

Philomena - Drama Club

The drama club was supposed to perform the previous Thursday but canceled due to bad weather.  At that time we were told it would happen the following Friday at 6 pm.  Philomena called me at 3:25 pm on Friday to say that the performance was moved to 4:30 pm.  I'd already made appointments for the girls to get their covid boosters at 4:15 pm.  I left work right at 3:30 and got the girls and ran to Walgreens as quick as we could.  Amazingly, we made it back to Mickle at 4:25 pm.  The performance was fun to watch!  Looks like it was a great club for her to participate in after school each week!

Maggie's Orchestra Concert

Maggie did a great job in her first concert since returning to the violin.  It was enjoyable to hear everyone together.  I hope Maggie continues with this.  Mr. Packard said that she has natural talent for the violin.

Maggie & Ms. Hight

Ms. Hight honored Maggie with a Certificate of Citizenship for having a good attitude toward classmates, school and community.  I'm so proud of her!

Philomena's Jazz Band Concert

Philomena had a solo in one of the songs and did such a great job!  I really enjoyed the jazz music more than the regular band music.  Fun music and so well performed!!

Philomena's Band Concert

Philomena and the band sounded great.  Philomena noticed that the songs directed by her teacher sounded better than the ones directed by the practicum students.  It takes practice and experience to bring a group together as well as Mrs. Pfoltner does!
