Philomena's ER Visit

Philomena wanted to use the hose so she pulled the sprinkler out of the ground.  It's not the kind with legs/feet but has a metal stake that pushes into the ground.  Philomena dropped it and the stake stabbed her left foot.  The ER was packed so there were people on beds in the hallways.  I thought we'd be there longer, but the doctor came in pretty quickly.  He put one stitch in, which we'll have taken out in 10 days.  It's painful, bruised, and swollen, but she didn't need anything but the one stitch.  No damage to any tendons or nerves or bones!

Robin

My coworker asked if Maggie would make her a bird after seeing the picture of what Maggie had carved for Charlie.  Maggie chose to make a robin because robins are resilient.  My coworker is giving it to her sister who is going through a divorce.  Maggie wrote a very sweet note to go with the bird.

Charlie's Birthday Party

When we visited Caity, she invited us to join the birthday party the next Saturday at her mom's house in Milford.  It was great to visit with Lyn, Tristen, and Terren, as well as get to know Darren better.  He was really the only one that I haven't gotten to know over the last decade.  Charlie really connected with Maggie.  We also got to meet their extended family who were very welcoming.
