Garden

Our garden has 10 little plants in it.  One is a potato that grew eyes in my cabinet.  Maggie said, "Let's try to grow it!" so that's what we're doing.  I also bought roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, orange bell peppers, red bell peppers, cantaloupe, watermelon, cucumbers, zucchini, and sweet potatoes.  Maggie helped me dig holes and loosen the soil.  She pulled a huge root up out of the ground when we were digging!

 

Mother's Day

We celebrated Mother's Day with Mom, Grandma, and Jim at Cheddar's.  We took a picture of the 3 of us while waiting for the others.  I wish I'd remembered to take another picture when they got there.

 

Percussion Extravaganza

The percussion section had a Saturday performance at the football field.  It's great listening to percussion outside where it doesn't get too loud.  Mom and I were able to sit in the shade with the announcer's box right behind us for a back rest.  It was fun to hear all the different songs that they played with the different instruments.

 

Spring Band Concert

The spring concert is Mom's and my favorite concert to go to because we get to sit outside in lawn chairs listening to the band play.  The weather was great this year.  Philomena was in the first band that played and then due to being outside, we were able to leave quietly before the next band played and get home at a decent time!

 

Ice Cream - Maggie's Treat

Maggie wanted to go for ice cream and said she'd pay for it if I drove her there!  Yummy treat from my daughter!

 

2010 Corolla

It took a few months, but we finally found a car that was worth buying for Philomena.  She loves the independence and I love having an hour of my time back each day!

 

Family Birthday Gathering

We celebrated the February birthdays (Beth, Peyton, and Jacob) at Cracker Barrel in Omaha.  We had to wait until Philomena was done with Show Choir season so we celebrated in March :)
