Philomena's Jazz Band Concert

Philomena had a solo in one of the songs and did such a great job!  I really enjoyed the jazz music more than the regular band music.  Fun music and so well performed!!

Philomena and the band sounded great.  Philomena noticed that the songs directed by her teacher sounded better than the ones directed by the practicum students.  It takes practice and experience to bring a group together as well as Mrs. Pfoltner does!

 

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

Saturday was Dad's birthday so I met Peg and mom at Harbor to celebrate.  Beth was home sick so we FaceTimed with her.  Then I took the girls to see Grandpa on Sunday.  We didn't stay long because he was so tired but we were glad to see him for a bit.

 

Youth Group

The last two Wednesdays the youth have been making Advent Journals for members of the congregation.  Creative outlet and service project in one!

 

Angels

Pastor Caity got 4 of the kids to put Angel wings on for a Christmas announcement in church.

 

Christmas Carols on Trombone

Philomena took her trombone to Harbor Senior Care and played 4 Christmas songs for the residents.  Grandma, Grandpa, the residents, and I all agreed that she did a great job!

I got a great picture of Grandma while we were there.  I think the girls will like to look back at this.

 

Grinch Cookies

Our annual tradition of making Grinch Cookies (mint chocolate chip cookies) and watching The Grinch.  Maggie chose the 2019 cartoon movie version.
