Due to a hiccup in the paperwork, we didn't bury Dad the same time we held his funeral. By the time the military paperwork was completed and we were able to hold the service, it was May 3, 2024, that we buried him. I really felt the closure and my depression over losing my dad started to lift. Philomena was in charge of taking photos and videos during the event. I took some photos from my seat also. Overall, it was a really nice way to honor my dad and his service. I'm glad the girls got the closure also. My immediate family went out to lunch together afterwards and then we came home to relax for the evening.
