Kahoa Talent Show

Both girls were in the Kahoa Talent Show this year.  Mena played two songs on the piano.  She's really improved and is playing a steady beat now.  Maggie sang a song with one of her favorite songs off the radio (High Hopes by Panic at the Disco).  Grandma, Grandpa, Jessie, and myself were there to watch the girls.

Sonshine Singers

The girls each sang a duet in this song.  First Maggie and Tristy sang while the others echoed them.  Then Mena and Katie sang while the others echoed them.  I could hear everyone singing!  They are maturing so much!

Pheobe Learning

I rarely have to tell Pheobe to sit when I open the dishwasher.  She knows if she sits that I will give her a treat when I'm done.  So nice!  I've replaced the inner ball twice, but the outside green ball is holding up well and Pheobe really likes playing with it.  The bells on the door are helpful for knowing when Pheobe needs or wants to go out.  Today she figured out how to get the bells off the door and brought them to me.  This happened three times in a row in less than 5 minutes so I put her in the outdoor kennel for about an hour.  I think she would love a dog door from the house into the outdoor dog run so she could choose whenever she wants to go outside!

Maggie Sleeping & Spring Break

Mena has started sleeping in her own bed.  Maggie is still sleeping with me.  She no longer has every inch of her body touching mine, but she still sleeps in the middle near me.  I was sleeping on two pillows due to a cold.  Over spring break, we didn't really do much fun activities due to illness.  I ended up with a sinus infection.  Maggie had a viral rash.  Mena had strep throat and then developed an ear infection.  Even Pheobe had to go to the vet for an ear infection and staff infection on her stomach!  Not much of a break, but I did get some stuff done around the house and I didn't have to use any sick time.

Ash Wednesday

We made it to Ash Wednesday service at church.  The next day I stayed home with Mena because she was sick with what turned out to be strep throat.

Make-up

The girls have been playing with makeup and watching YouTube videos on how to wear makeup.  I decided they needed to see how you are supposed to do it so you don't look like a clown!  I let them wear the makeup to Peyton and Jake's birthday gathering with our family.
