Rearranging Bedrooms

Mena got the loft bed.  Maggie got the double bed.  I took the twin bed and sold my king size bed so I could have more walk space in my bedroom.  Now everyone is sleeping in their own bed and we all are getting a good night's sleep.  The transition went well!!

Upgrade my Laptop

My new computer was slow and then I realized a bought a computer with only 4 GB RAM when I'd intended to get one with 8 GB.  Some texts with my friend Martin and watching a YouTube video and I was able to install my new RAM.  The girls kept telling me I should wait until Martin could come over to help me, but I was able to do it all by myself.  Maggie told me "good job, Mom!" when I was done.

Early Happy Birthday to Mena!

Mena wanted a loft bed for her birthday and I found one for only $75 on Facebook so she got it early!

Impact Camp

Mena participated in Impact Camp at St. Paul UMC and I was an adult volunteer to help Cathy and Mitch.  Wednesday, the morning was spent talking about leadership and the afternoon we volunteered at the Food Bank.  Thursday, we discussed service and we painted rocks with inspiring messages in the morning.  Thursday afternoon, we shopped for supplies to gift to homeless people moving into an apartment, and went on a scavenger hunt taking pictures.  Friday, we talked about teamwork, hid our rocks around downtown Lincoln, and volunteered at the Center for People in Need.

Mena Takes Pictures

Mena stayed with Grandma while I took Maggie to see some of the Helping Hands.  When we got back to Grandma's, she took these pictures.  We made plans to go see more of the hands with Grandma and Papa in two weeks.

Maggie & Mommy tour the Helping Hands

Maggie and Mommy Time came on Sunday afternoon.  We had fun taking pictures with each of the hands that we stopped to see.

Henry Doorly Zoo

On Saturday, we met Briget and Sam at the Henry Doorly Zoo.  Mena and Sam remembered getting together in the past.  It's been two years and Maggie didn't remember them so she was quiet at first.  She was talking by the end of the day!  Mena was excited to see the 3 month old giraffe.  Briget and I duplicated a picture we took years ago.  (Now if I could only find it to display together...)  The sea turtle came swimming up behind Mena right as I was taking her picture.  She was confused when Briget and I both said, "don't move; don't move!"  It was a fun day and we made plans for the last Saturday in April next year to go to Joslyn Art Museum so that we don't skip another year of getting together!  It's harder now with the girls in activities and my only having the girls every other weekend!

Mommy & Mena Time

Tuesday, Grandma watched Maggie while I took Mena to see Dr. Klinkebiel and to the Nebraska History Museum.  We had fun just the two of us.  In the afternoon, Grandma watched both girls while I went to a training for work.
