4-H Sewing Projects

My surgery went well.  The girls came home on May 27th.  We'd bought everything for them to work on their 4-H Sewing projects while I'm recovering.  Unfortunately, the machine messed up the tension on the first piece Mena tried to sew.  I want to take it in for a tune up before they do any more sewing.

 

Last Year at Kahoa

Maggie is a 5th Grade graduate of Kahoa Elementary!

 

Mickle Music Tour

The 7th and 8th Grade Jazz Band, Orchestra, and Chorus did a tour of four elementaries that feed into Mickle Middle School.  Philomena was in the chorus and I was a parent driver.  They performed at Pershing and Kahoa (at which we saw Maggie).  Then they had a break at Bethany City Park and lunch at Gateway Mall.  The afternoon they performed at Meadowlane and Norwood Park.  It was a fun day for all!

 

Mother's Day

Mother's Day, we went to church with Grandma Olson, out to eat and hung out at her house for a bit.  Then it was a normal Sunday evening of getting ready for the school week.  The girls got me a pedicure gift card which was perfect for me to get right before my surgery.

 

Maggie - Kahoa Chorus Concert

The kids sang beautifully and some of the songs were popular ones that we knew which made it fun for the kids and audience.

 

Philomena Band Concert

 

The 7th grade band played 5 songs. Then the 8th grade band played. At the end both grades played Sweet Caroline together.
