Track Meet

Philomena threw shot put and ran the 100m.  Her best throw was 11'9".  Unfortunately my phone battery was dying so I was unable to get a picture of her running.  So proud of her dedication to learning to new skills!

Are you Serious?!?

I set Maggie up to paint the small piece of wood on the drop cloth so she can make a sign.  I went upstairs to read and she decided to paint the wall!  I was livid.  The next morning was also rough with Maggie being late to school and getting out the car while I was moving backing out of the driveway.  I called her therapist and we're increasing consequences because her defiance is getting out of hand.  She's a little perturbed that her dad and I are working together with her therapist and she's been unable to pit us against each other.  When push comes to shove, he and I are on the same side and are gonna make sure our kids grow up to be respectable people!

St. Peter's UCC 150th Anniversary

I took the girls with me, mom, and Peg to the 150th anniversary of St. Peter's UCC where I grew up.  Pastor Steve and Lyn came back and were able to meet my girls.  I also was able to catch up with Stacey, the other half of our youth group and was able to introduce her to my girls.  The girls were a bit bored but I enjoyed introducing them to people who were important from my childhood.  I was also able to say hi to some other mom's that were around when I was growing up while my mom chatted catching up with them.

Easter

Luckily, we did our egg hunt at home and at Grandma's on the Saturday of Easter weekend.  On Sunday at 4 am, Philomena woke up sick so we missed church.  Neither Maggie nor I caught it, for which I am very thankful!

Easter Weekend

There was no school on Friday so we dyed Easter eggs.  I made a homemade pie crust for chicken pot pie and used the extra dough to make Easter cookies.  It's the first time that the girls requested more of my pie crust cookies so I must be getting better at making pie crust!

Palm Sunday

The girls helped lead the younger children in a palm procession to begin our Palm Sunday worship service.  Maggie especially has been connecting with Whitney and Mason to teach them to help light candles and wave palms and do other parts in the service that my girls have grown up doing at our other churches.  It's nice to see her being a positive role model.
