Philomena's room is bigger so she got the medium sized tree to set up in her room.  Where did this grown up Mena come from?!?  Where did my little girl go?!?

Maggie:  I'm getting a watch?!

We didn't wrap her gifts, but she was just as excited to open the box for her LOL watch and Frozen Spot It game.

We had Frye family photos and then went to El Bee's for dinner.  After dinner, Grandpa drove us over to Fat Brain Toys for Maggie to spend her birthday money.  She chose a new Lego set.

Maggie wanted to make her own cake this year.  She's been watching baking shows on YouTube.  She made two square cakes and layered them.  I told her she needed to wait until the next day to frost it.  I meant after school, but she woke at 5:22 am on Friday morning.  I got up and discovered her frosting and sprinkling her heart out in the kitchen.

 

Reading

The girls were upset when I shut off the wifi to the tv.  They weren't in trouble, just needed to find hobbies beyond the tv.  The next day they were reading books without my prompting.
