Purple Hair!

Philomena got her hair cut and colored her hair purple! 💜 

 

Happy Birthday!

Mena and I celebrated our birthdays with homemade pizza, brownies & ice cream. My mom and dad came to celebrate with us. It was a nice birthday at home ❤️  

Birthday Gift

For Mena’s birthday, we are redoing her bedroom. She wanted 2 matching nightstands so I used a tall shelf that was sitting empty. I took it apart, measured, cut & screwed together the wood to make 2 matching shelves. The only mishap was on the first cut. I cut through the cord of my circular saw. My dad was able to bring his saw to cut the rest of the wood for me. Then he rewired a used cord onto my saw so I can keep using it!

The next step will be to buy paint in teal and white for the furniture and walls. 

Going to School

 We’ve gotten 2 emails from Maggie’s teacher about her not being on time to class or not paying attention during class. Remote learning is just not a good match for a child with ADHD. Mena was doing ok in her classes with just a few technical difficulties. Gene and I decided that Maggie needs to go back in the building for school and if one is going, they both should go. Both the girls were super excited to be with their friends and teachers. Maggie’s first day in school went well.  Mena’s first day was a little more stressful since it was a new building to find her way around, but the second day went better. Maggie is back at Rosemont for daycare and Mena goes to the CLC run by the YMCA at Mickle after school.
