Happy Halloween!

Due to Covid-19, I decided we would not be trick or treating this year. We bought pumpkins from Kelly’s Produce to support a farmer from Yutan. Then we went to buy candy. I was thinking we’d spend about $5 but the girls declared that wasn’t enough variety. They wanted to buy a $20 bag with 6 kinds of candy. I compromised by buying a $10 bag with 4 kinds of candy 🙂

We returned home to carve the pumpkins. Mena carved a ghost. Maggie carved a cat, then a witch’s pot & another hole that she wanted to insert the pot she’d cut out. Then I sent the girls outside while I hid candy around the house. They had a lot of fun finding the candy.

Safari Zoo & Cookies

The animals were more visible in the cooler weather at the Safari Zoo. Later that evening we made cookies, although we may have eaten more dough than cookies!

We met my sister Beth for lunch and she took pictures of us at a park. These turned out amazing!
