Children's Museum and Picnic in the Park

For the first time, the girls took an interest in the sports area of the Children's Museum.  They both tried really hard to throw the football, but I have to admit they "throw like a girl" :-)  Mena got it through the uprights by standing at the 30 and Maggie spun in circles while throwing hers in all directions.

We ate a picnic at the park and then fed the ducks and geese.  There was a pair of each in the water.  We learned that geese like Wheat Thins and ducks do not.

Maggie completed her first 48 piece puzzle with a little help from Mommy.  She was so proud!

Girl Scout Cookies

Mena's troop sold cookies at a booth in Russ's Market.  They did very well in total sales.  Left to right is Tessa, Mena, and Taelynn.

Ash Wednesday

The girls mostly rubbed off their ash crosses by the time we got home to take these pictures, but they attended the Ash Wednesday Service with me.

Goofy Girls

First, the girls pulled all the chairs out to make another blanket fort, but then they pulled off the couch cushions and laid the blanket on the floor.  I heard, "Just jump on me, Maggie!" and thought I better go investigate what they were doing since I couldn't see them!!  It seemed like a disaster waiting to happen but no one got hurt.

Snow Day

My living room on a snow day! Brings back memories of mom scrubbing the kitchen floor & all the chairs in the living room for my sisters and I to play with! I'm not mopping; I just gave them all the chairs.  It is so awesome that I am now a (student) teacher and have the same snow days that the girls get!

In the afternoon I taught the girls how to make a braid with yarn.  Here they are showing their finished product.
