UNL Gymnastics Meet

After church we went to Amigos for lunch and then we went to the UNL Gymnastics meet.  The girls were very focused on watching what the female gymnasts did.  Maggie fell asleep in my arms during the meet.  We left before the meet was over because Mena had gotten bored.  It is kind of long for a 3 and 5 year old.

Peyton and Jake's Birthday Party

Tyler said, "Take my picture!" Jake was trying to get Maggie to look at me when I took the picture.  Tyler is the mystery Spiderman and Peyton thought he had great timing to be right in between Maggie and Ty as he walked behind.

Mena was following the superhero cousins around the house and laughing.  She was particularly proud of herself for finding Jake's missing mask when he laid it down in another room and couldn't find it.

We all laughed when we looked at this picture.  Pretty sure Mom was singing "you" in the Happy Birthday song at the time I snapped the picture.

Waiting for Aunt Peg to finish cutting the birthday "cake."  It was actually a cookie, but the kids kept saying they didn't want a cookie they wanted cake.  I don't think they understood it was one big cookie.

Peyton made bracelets for the girls.  I asked him to make two so each girl had one and then Mena asked him to make me one in my favorite color blue.

Heart Shaped Pizza

On Monday, we continued our Valentine activities by making a heart shaped pizza for supper.  The girls had a lot of fun and did a great job every step of the pizza making!  I used the timer on my camera and Mena stopped smiling before the 10 seconds were up.

Valentine's Day Presents from Mom and Grandma & Grandpa

The girls were at their Dad's on Valentine's day so I was able to celebrate with my boyfriend.  The girls came home on Sunday and I gave them their gifts.  Mena and Maggie had guessed I'd gotten them new Bibles because "it was heavy like a Bible," said Mena.  I asked her if she'd guessed the other book was from the Frozen movie and she said, "No, you tricked me with that one!"  The girls were surprised to find $5 fall out of the cards from Grandma and Grandpa.

Mena and Maggie are both in Chrub Choir

Both girls did a great job singing "Skidamarink, adink, adink, I love you!"  They were smiling and doing the actions and they continued singing the song when we came home from church!

Snow Play at Daycare

One of Mena's daycare teachers sent me these pictures of her playing outside with her class.  She has to take her backpack with her so she'll be ready when her school bus picks her up for preschool.

Valentine's Day Party at the History Museum

We attended the Valentine's Day party at the Nebraska History Museum after church with Haley and Karen.  The girls' favorite display was the huge doll house.  Mena and I thought it was as big or bigger than our couch!  The girls each made 2 valentines and then Mena decided to glue hers back to back to make one valentine.
