In the morning, Heather helped Mena climb the bunkbed to reach something. After nap, Mena tried to climb without asking Heather first. She fell and hit her head on the bedroom door. She got 7 stitches on the back of her head. She was so brave at the doctor's office. Our pediatrician was able to fit us in so we avoided the ER.
Mena was so brave. She didn't cry when they cleaned it. She didn't cry when they put the numbing agent on it. She didn't start crying until the 5th or 6th stitch. She actually tried to crawl back away from Dr. Bernhardson. I held my hand on her back so she would lay back down. She had silent tears running down her face but never cried outloud. The nurse said she did better than the teenage boy they'd seen earlier in the week for stitches!
