When the girls aren't home, I started letting Pheobe off leash in the living room. She does occasionally lay down and rest when I'm home all day with her. She's scared of the vacuums so I left the hand vac running and put mini milk bones next to and on it. She eventually stopped barking at the vacuum and got used to eating treats off of it.
