Mena turned 32 months old in the middle of the a/c being broken, but she didn't mind. It was like a party for her to spend all morning outside. Mena now weighs 32.2 pounds. She's wearing size 4T tops and 3T pants/shorts. The sandals and tennis shoes the Easter Bunny brought were size 8 for her growing feet.
We are really happy with Mena's new teacher Dianne. Dianne and Mena have really connected. Dianne's ideas are matching Mena's learning style and her speech is improving tremendously! Mena's first two word sentence was "No no, Dada!" Gene had said it was time to put her jammies on. We laughed, told her good job on making a sentence, but she still needed to get ready for bed. Mena is making a lot of two word combinations and even some three syllable combinations. Her favorite new phrase is "apple juice." Mena has learned to say "Maggie" and calls herself "Menie." I'm still glad we put in her application for the EXCITE preschool but if she doesn't get in this year I'm not as worried. Dianne is a great match for her and I'm sure we'll continue to see great development.
