Each week when I clean Puck's cage, it is the girls' job to hold Puck. They take turns holding him and feeding him a carrot. This week we bought a grooming kit. The girls brushed Puck and I trimmed his claws myself. Surprisingly, Puck seemed to enjoy being brushed as long as the girls were gentle. I've tried trimming the claws on other guinea pigs I've own and never could do it. I'm not sure what's different but I was able to do it this time. The girls petted Puck and talked to him while I was trimming his claws. Then they told me, "Good job, Mom!"
